I received my formal training at Sheridan College, School of Craft and Design, in Oakville, Ontario, Canada in textile design. However, I began working with textiles and making things when I was a young child.

My studio is currently in the top floor of a reclaimed building in downtown Kalamazoo. With beautiful light streaming in the windows and being surrounded by a lifetime collection of fabrics, trim and art supplies, it's hard not to be inspired to make things.

Textiles are really my passion and most of my inspiration comes from them. Barkcloth from the 40's and 50's is my current inspiration, and they are making their way into handbags and totes of all shapes and sizes. Magazines, fashion, interior design, art and architecture also find their way into my design process.

I am currently working on setting up the studio to be able to start printing fabric again, so who knows where that will take me in the future.
